The vision I had when creating DME came true Sunday afternoon on the Calliope deck at sunset.  Kenny Neal and Nora Jean Bruso sang an impromptu "Little Red Rooster" complete with barnyard sounds that's not to be forgotten, followed by Kenny asking if he 'could take us to church' as he started playing Amazing Grace on harp with Henry Butler on keys while Syreeta Neal sang so sweetly then was joined with the powerful voice of Nora, who together touched everyone deep in their soul, as we drifted through the Mississippi River and felt the sun go down.

Although the DME passengers were small  in number we never lacked in enthusiasm.  Each and every musician gave more than 100% and the performances were outstanding.  The Neal Family were generous with their talents and their hearts as evidenced by the impromptu "Sunday Goin' To Church" revival led by Kenny.  With unscripted moments like that It just doesn't get any more extraordinary!

I thoroughly enjoyed my Delta Music Experience trip on the Mississippi River.  What fun it was to hang out with the artists,as well as see them perform.  I especially liked seeing the different musicians jam together.  Great food, entertainment, and a fun loving crowd on board. One of my best vacations ever.
