Crowned by the Paragon Restaurant & Bar as "The First Lady of Funk"
Lady A began her singing career at an early age. She grew up singing in church and at 16 began directing in her
then church choir at Mt. Baker B.C., then onto the GMWA (Gospel Music Workshop of America) Seattle Chapter choir and a host
of others.
She than began singing Karaoke during the 80's craze and was asked to sing as a backup singer in the Sonny
Byer's Motown ReVue. This was launching into what is now known as a "Career" . Then one day Louise Thompson of Thompson's
Point of View asked her to perform a show... But with no band, she turned to her good friends and great musicians Josh, Gary
& Richard (now known as the Baby Blues Funk Band)... and the rest as they say is "History".
One thing I can say
about "My Guys".... I have one of the "FUNKIEST" Bands in the Seattle Area... We are like Family and God has been good to
us in our path through Music.....
"A friend is someone who knows the Song in your heart and can sing
it back when you've forgotten the Words".... Thats the Baby Blues
"FUNK" Band and I love me some Josh, Gary, Richard & John!
"Cause everything for the most part... is on the ONE!"
